So…. Kick Starter Backer #2 reporting in – the package has arrived – I repeat, the package has arrived…
+++First, box arrived – it was smaller than I expected; the mockup I made appears larger than the actual pieces (which is a good thing as storing these after assembly – well, they won’t fit into the same boxes for sure!). I got 100+ choice credits and they fit into 2 boxes. The corners were mildly dished but the packaging inside protected the contents nicely. Was able to track package to US Customs and then “BAM” it showed up on doorstep.
+++Second, the inventory list inside made double checking the contents against what I ordered nice. Handout and cards inside are clear on where to go for directions. Doors, window cut outs and some miscellaneous “largish” pieces were bagged separately and included. Thanks!
+++Third, looking at the pieces – WOW! Laser cuts are clean. I am initially looking at color schemes and layouts. Caught between wanting maximum flexibility (which means painting them all alike) or wanting that “custom look. So, I am going to start with a VMT-MOD-FA-WB-WB-WE-WF (SKU 1225). I have dry fit all the pieces and it assembled easily. Pieces interlock as advertised. It looks WAY better than it does on the KS page!!!
+++Fourth, will try to see if internet page (www.tabletopgamer.com) will allow me to download pictures. Really want to make Backers #3 through 104 drool while the delivery process proceeds.
+++Finally, I already have a wish list for TableTop:
1) The interlocking pattern used for the roof pieces would look great as a option for the Ground Floor Modules…
2) A light outline for Windows and doors showing where the top piece fits over the bottom piece on all the walls would make it easier for painters – at least that is my impression right now before I apply even the primer…
3) Have you given thought to a revolving door for the Ground Level Modules?
This is going to be a BLAST!
